Judith Felman graduated as a clinical psychologist abroad and as an adult psychotherapist at the Tavistock Clinic, where she completed a four year full time training and was awarded the Tavistock Qualification in Adult Psychotherapy.
In 1987 Judith was awarded a statement of equivalence from the British Psychological Society, becoming a graduate member of the BPS as well as being registered with the Health & Care Professions Council (HCPC). Judith went on to work in the NHS as a consultant clinical psychologist and, for many years, divided her clinical work time between the NHS and private practice. In 2009 Judith gained membership of the British Psychoanalytic Association being awarded the title of psychoanalyst and becoming member of the International Psychoanalytic Association (IPA) as well.
Since her retirement from the NHS in 2015, Judith has been in private practice working as a psychoanalyst, psychoanalytic psychotherapist and DIT therapist and supervisor. She has also beein engaged in teaching and supervising both at the Tavistcok Clinic and the Anna Freud Centre.
Judith is registered with the British Psychoanalytic Council and the British and International Psychoanalytic Associations, and abides by the professional codes of ethics and conduct of these bodies.
